In keeping with traveling to warmer destinations during the winter months, we scheduled this trip to "warm" and "sunny" Florida. However, it looks like the polar vortex will play a bit of havoc with those plans, with morning temperatures in the low 40s, but at least there should be more sun than clouds.

Our current plans involve a semi-relaxing, theme park trip through Monday, which is a scheduled school holiday ("teacher professional day"). Our primary goal is getting to Universal Studios and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and for the first time in a very long time, we are not staying in a Marriott property! Instead, we'll be at one of Universal's hotels on Sunday evening, giving us a few more perks at the park. We were last in Universal in 2015, and there's not much the kids recall from that trip, so we'll try it again - this time with Alex qualifying for the "Adult" ticket price - yikes!
